Open Access Play
This provision should be free of charge and be supervised
by staff. It should take place in environments that are “stimulating,
exciting and full of challenge whilst being free from inappropriate
risk” (Play Wales Open Access Play Provision – An Explanation,
p.2). Ideally, the child/young person decides at will when to arrive
and leave, which poses Powys with a huge challenge due to its rural
nature, sparcity of population and lack of a public transport infrastructure.
